Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Tuell Realty LLC ("we", "us"), based in Indiana, USA, for the Mortar & Moon app ("the app"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. Who can use it
You must be at least 13 to use the app. The app is offered in the United States.
2. Your account
Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us at support@mortarandmoon.com if you think someone else is using it.
3. What you save is yours
Your spells, notes, photos, pantry and other entries ("your content") stay yours. You let us store, copy and process your content only to run the app for you: to back it up, sync it to your phone, read photos and pasted text into drafts, and export it when you ask. We don't sell it, show it to other users, or use it for ads.
4. Other people's work
The app is a private journal. Save spells from creators, books and websites for your own use, and respect their rights. Don't use the app to copy and republish someone else's work. When you save from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or Pinterest, the app keeps the link and creator's name for credit; it doesn't download their posts. Those platforms' own terms still apply to how you use them. Mortar & Moon isn't affiliated with them.
5. Not medical, veterinary or professional advice
The app is for keeping notes and planning. It does not tell you whether an herb, oil, resin, salt, stone or any other item is safe to eat, drink, breathe, put on skin, put in water, or use around children, pets or during pregnancy. Nothing in the app is medical, veterinary, legal or other professional advice, and nothing in it is meant to diagnose, treat or cure anything.
The app links to outside sources (such as NIH, ASPCA and poison control) so you can check for yourself. We don't run those sites and aren't responsible for what they say. Always ask a doctor, pharmacist, vet or other qualified professional before using anything on or in your body, or around others. In an emergency, call 911 or Poison Help at 1-800-222-1222; for pets, call your vet or a pet poison line.
Many practices involve fire, heat, smoke or sharp tools. Never leave a lit candle, incense, burning herbs or a stove unattended, keep them away from children, pets and anything that can catch fire, and follow the safety directions on the product.
You use spells, recipes and practices, including ones you save from others, at your own risk.
6. Calendar, moon and sky information
Moon phases, sabbats and other sky events are calculated on your phone and may be off by minutes or more. Calendar ideas are suggestions for your own practice.
7. Plans and payments
If we offer paid plans, they are sold through Apple or Google and follow their billing, renewal and refund rules. The price and what's included are shown in the app before you buy. Deleting the app or your account doesn't cancel a subscription; cancel it in your Apple or Google account. If a paid plan ends, you keep your spells and can still read, edit and export them.
8. Fair use of the app
Don't break the law with the app, try to get into other people's accounts, overload or attack our systems, or copy or resell the app itself.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deleted spells stay in Recently deleted for 30 days unless you delete them for good sooner. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why when we can.
10. The app is provided "as is"
We work to keep the app running and your content backed up, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Keep your own export (Settings > Export everything) if your grimoire matters to you.
11. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Tuell Realty LLC isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for harm from using any item, spell, recipe or practice saved in or linked from the app.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
13. Law
Indiana law governs these terms.
